Skittles are awesome. If you don’t like the juicy little candies, I’m not so sure you’re human. The satisfying citrus flavor of Petrifying Citrus Punch, mouthwatering Mummified Melon, the flavor blast that is Boogeyman Blackberry.
Wait, what? That’s right, Skittles is changing it up with their new Zombie Pack Skittles. They include all of the flavors above, plus Chilling Black Cherry and Blood Red Berry. Even though they have cool new names, they still have the same delicious taste. So no worries.
But wait, there’s a dark surprise. Somewhere in the pack is one single disgusting Skittle that’s different. It tastes like the oozing flesh of a Rotten Zombie. Although it does concern me that Skittles knows what a rotten zombie tastes like.
The company assures us that, “It’s an utterly disgusting taste experience that will elicit strong reactions from anyone and everyone daring enough to try it. Every palate will perceive the taste differently, but everyone will know it’s ‘rotten’ when they get it.”
And the real horror? You won’t know which one it is, since it’ll look just like any other Skittle candy. You won’t know you have the Rotten Zombie Skittle until you pop it in your mouth and start chewing. If you taste the warm, oozing flavor of rotten, zombie flesh sealed all up in a cute little candy, then you’ll know. That’s the one.
So who will be brave enough to try them? Skittles urges all of its fierce fans to take part in the #DareTheRainbowChallenge. All you have to do is record your experiences.
Gather a group of friends, or just you, and eat each Skittle, one by one, until finally, you reach the utterly disgusting, Rotten Zombie flavor. Then, share the experience on Instagram using #DareTheRainbow and @skittles. It’s sure to be a putrifyingly good time. But you better keep a barf bag on hand.
The new Zombie Pack Skittles will hit the stores in October 2019, just in time for Halloween, although there have been reports that they are in the stores now in some places. Are you brave enough to taste the brainbow?
Sounds like Skittles is taking a hint from “Jelly Belly” candies. They made disgusting flavors many years ago. it was a popular campaign. I only remember 1 flavor, “Puke”, and it would make you!
